Harlem Pilates - West Harlem, NY
Harlem Pilates, a boutique Pilates studio in West Harlem, NY, was undergoing renovations and faced a lack of storage for exercise equipment and no seating for students. DeVine Woodworking partnered with the owner to enhance the space. Multifunctional benches with cubbies were created for shoes, personal items, and exercise equipment. The custom-made piece also featured a hidden pull-out step stool for easy access to higher shelves.
A reception area was created with a fold-down desk and built-in office supply organizer. This desk could be folded out for student check-ins and then tucked away to maximize space. These pieces were hand made from birch plywood with a satin finish. The owner was thrilled with the functional and aesthetic upgrades, which significantly improved the studio's layout and ease of use.
